NYC 09/2009 Part 4 of 4
Monday Sept 28 Had breakfast at Junior’s across from the hotel. Walked around Times Square and Adam got a new watch and wallet at the Fossil store. Met up with sis and made our way down to the Central Park area. We contemplated going to the Central Park Zoo, but the skies were threatening to open up, so we decided against, and instead had lunch at Sarabeth’s. For dessert, we got some chocolate from Dylan’s Candy Bar.

Dylan’s Candy Bar - Where the streets are paved with… candy.
It never rained. We totally should’ve gone to the zoo. Next time, I guess.
At night, we caught dinner with Pete & sis at Kampuchea where I had the most amazing corn on the cob ever. EVER. It was seasoned with a spicy mayo and some coconut flakes and I wish I could have eaten 5 ears of it.
After dinner, Adam & I went to Webster Hall to see Fever Ray where we met up with our friends Kate & Ashley and a couple of their friends.
We arrived at 8 and were told that Fever Ray wasn’t going on until 10, so we started exploring Webster Hall. It has three levels, the basement of which is called “The Studio at Webster Hall.” It’s outfitted loosely to look like a recording studio, and it’s kind of cozy as concert venues are concerned. We caught the last half of Find Vienna’s gig which included an incredible—and spot-on—cover of “Message in a Bottle.”
Eventually, we made our way up to the 3rd level where Fever Ray was to perform. Where the studio was cozy, this place was just huge. We were towards the back and I’m only 5’2”, so I’ll leave it as an exercise to the reader to imagine how great my view of the stage was. Hint: it was not. Luckily, Adam is a giant and he took pictures.

We finished off the night with a drink at Swift. I had some wine that tasted like rubbing alcohol, but I washed it down with some really good mini burgers.
