Mash-up tribute album to Passion Pit?! Where do I sign away my first-born? Oh, it’s free! Well, you can still have the baby; first-borns are like the first pancake, right?

The Rural Alberta Advantage - “Don’t Haunt This Place

How did I ever actually live before hearing this band?

OK Go - End Love - Official Video (via OkGo)

Can we—the entire universe—just agree that OK Go has done more to revolutionize the music video than any other artist in history? Their videos are consistently mind-blowing, and that’s without taking the amazing music into consideration.

I might burn some bridges here, but fuck “Thriller.”

Miniature Tigers - “Dino Damage”

Cause if you hold on, they’ll tear your stomach open
And rip your guts out with they teeth
You gotta just release

Miniature Tigers is my new “love them right now” band, they’ve temporarily dethroned Harlem Shakes.

Bon Jovi - Always

This is the song my Lyrical dance class is doing for recital.

We started learning our dance last week and as soon as our instructor turned on the music, I thought I was going to die. “This song has my heart,” I said melodramatically to my dance buddy Rachel. She laughed, probably thinking that I was being sarcastic, and asked “You like this song?”

“I love it. Somewhere, a 12 year old Marcela just pissed her pants with excitement.”

The problem with performing to a song that you love, is that you eventually grow to hate it because you have to listen to it—often times small parts of it—over and over and over again. But I have a good feeling about my love for this song; if it was able to survive middle school, it can survive recital.

I very nearly reblogged this post without even listening to it first. Because, c’mon… it’s Passion Pit and my favorite Chairlift song.

You can take the girl out of coding…

But you can’t take the coding out of the girl.

Dusting off my tech writing skills to write up a readme document for my latest project. I keep wanting to end my sentences with semicolons.
